What you need to know about the EPA’s Hazardous Waste Pharmaceuticals Rule
Healthcare facilities are facing several changes when it comes to the management of pharmaceuticals considered to be hazardous waste under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). The “Final Rule: Management Standards for hazardous Waste Pharmaceuticals and Amendment to the P075 Listing for Nicotine” released by the EPA will go into effect on August 21, 2019.
